Notably, products such as carbon fiber and eco-friendly tire cord have established themselves as key achievements in sustainable material development, contributing to weight reduction and emissions mitigation across various sectors. Leveraging our proprietary technology, we continue to respond proactively to evolving market demands and drive sustainable innovation. In 2024, HS HAMC achieved meaningful progress in ESG management. We received official approval of our 2030 GHG reduction targets from the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) and were honored with the highest ‘Platinum Medal’ rating from EcoVadis, placing us among the top 1% of companies globally. Our inclusion in the DJSI (Dow Jones Sustainability Index) Korea for two consecutive years further demonstrates our ongoing enhancement of ESG management standards.
We have set ambitious targets to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% and key Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030, realizing these goals through energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy sourcing. Together with our suppliers, we are also actively working to enhance ESG standards across our entire supply chain and lead the creation of a truly sustainable value chain.
HS HAMC continues to advance various initiatives for biodiversity conservation and shared growth with local communities. Thanks to these efforts, we have been recognized as a certified company for community contribution for six consecutive years, and we will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities in a long-term and sustainable manner.
